Miss World 2014's finale is all set to take place on Dec. 14. At the moment, preparations are in full swing and various preliminary rounds are taking place to judge the winner.

Recently, Miss Sport competition took place, which was won by Miss Finland, Krista Haapalainen. The 24-year-old is a marketing student and is an avid traveller and has 13-year experience in aerobics gymnastics. She has also participated in various bungee jumping competitions.

The next competition to be held is Talent competition. The contestants will be showing their dancing, musical abilities and more. The contestants will get an opportunity to showcase their talent in front of the judges. The chosen few will participate in the Talent competition final round and the winner will get the opportunity to show her talent in the pageant's final round. On Dec. 13, final dress rehearsal is scheduled to take place. The contestants will get a chance to show off their evening ensembles, which they will be wearing in the finale.

Meanwhile, Miss Australia, Courtney Thorpe is being considered as a strong contestant to wear the winner's crown. Her formal evening gown is a Bellucio magenta gown, which features a boat neck, beadings and sequin on the bodice, as reported by Miss World.com. To add an edge to her outfit, a long slit has been given in the front. Thrope has also topped the People's choice, making a sure shot winner for this year's title. The 24-year-old is a mass communication student. She also does part time writing and has written a series of children books.

The final round will take place at the Excel in London. There are 122 delegates who will compete for the crown. The final five will participate in the question-answer round and based on the answers they give, Miss World 2014 will be crowned.

Last year, Miss Philippines, Megan Young became the first Filipina to win the crown. Since winning the title she has been living in London and has initiated various charitable efforts.
