Miss USA 2017 will see 51 contestants from various American states competing for the prestigious title. The event will be held on Sunday, May 14, 2017, at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. This year's pageant, which will be hosted by Julianne Hough and Terrence J., will be telecast live over the weekend.

Miss USA 2017 will feature a performance by Cirque du Soleil's Michael Jackson ONE, Pitbull and Brett Eldridge. Famous plus-size model and swimsuit model Ashley Graham will serve as backstage host.

The judges for this year's event include Halima Aden, Carson Kressley, Brook Lee, Nancy Lublin, Jeannie Mai and Janet Mock. Aden is a Somali-American model and is the first woman to compete in a Miss USA state pageant by wearing a hijab and a burkini. Kressley is a television personality, style expert, fashion designer and author, while Lee both won Miss USA and Miss Universe in 1997. Lublin is the founder of Dress for Success, while Mai is an expert in style, a philanthropist, and co-host of television show “The Real.” Lastly, Mock is a famous author, television host and an advocate.

Deshauna Barber from District of Columbia will crown her successor, the new Miss USA 2017, at the end of the event. The winning girl will represent the United States at the Miss Universe 2017 competition. Fans of the show can vote for their favourite contestant until Saturday, May 13.
