All eyes are on the Philippines as the country graces the 65th Miss Universe competition on Monday. Eighty-six women from their respective countries compete for the crown that currently belongs to Pia Wurtzbach. Emmy Award winner Steve Harvey is back to host the prestigious pageant.

Miss Universe 1993 Dayanara Torres, Miss Universe 1994 Sushmita Sen, Miss Universe 2011 Leila Lopez, Mickey Boardman of Paper Magazine, Francine LeFrak of Same Sky, and model Cynthia Bailey will serve as judges. Grammy award-winning rhythm and blues group Boyz II Men and Grammy award nominee Flo Rida are set to perform on Monday’s show.

During her speech at the Governor's Ball on Jan. 16, Wurtzbach shared that the pageant being held in her home country has started out as a simple idea and said it’s a better way to end reign as Miss Universe. Wurtzbach also explained what the competition is all about. “Behind that sash is a girl with a story of inspiration, of empowerment, and that’s what Miss Universe is all about,” she said.
