The incredibly hilarious yellow capsule-shaped minions are back! The "Avengers" may have assembled and caused a pack of fans to go hyper over the action-packed trailer but the minimal trailer of "Despicable Me 2" blew the web to epic proportions. Get ready to get singing bananas and potatoes.

From the same people who created this weeks' hit film, "Dr. Seuss: The Lorax", are also behind the much-anticipated sequel to "Despicable Me." The super adorable and amusing bunches of pint-sized minions are back. Their syllable singing of "ba-na-na" would put Gwen Stefani to shame. The minions own rendition of "Barbara Ann" by The Beach Boys in the trailer is just about enough to piss off a few hot-headed colleagues at work.

Apart from a laughable and catchy tune of bananas and potatoes, the trailer also boasts of a 3D potential as evidenced by one minion blowing on a party blower. Though the film is still set for a 2013 release, the recently released trailer was more than enough to cause fans of the film to go through a frenzy wherein the trailer ranked second to the most number of viewed film trailers in a week. "Avengers Assemble" ranks first while Tim Burton's dark film, "Frankenweenie" comes in at third.

"Despicable Me 2" features the voice talents of a few Hollywood big shots namely Al Pacino, Steve Carell and Jason Segel. Steve Carell returns as the voice of Gru and Miranda Cosgrove as Margo. The film is set to be released on June 28, 2013 in the UK and July 3 in the US.

They may be of minimal proportions but their singing has definitely caused a viral tune that almost everybody is going bananas and potatoes for. Fans of the film have already taken to Twitter to announce their excitement over the news of a sequel featuring the crowd-favorite minions.

'THE MINIONS ARE BACK!!! That's right, Despicable Me 2 is on it's way... retweet if you're as EXCITED as i am!' tweeted one fan.
