Coders Rest In The Office Of Swedish Company Mojang In Stockholm
Coders rest in the Mojang company office in Stockholm January 21, 2013. A pool table, a pinball machine, board games and Lego dot the offices of Mojang, the small Swedish company behind the wildly popular Minecraft video game, and one of its founders is wearing a tuxedo and purple tie on a recent "formal Friday". The atmosphere reflects the independent spirit that has contributed to the raw identity of the game that has just sold 20 million copies. The founders want to keep it that way. Mojang, the Swedish word for gadget, has so far resisted selling to a bigger player or listing on the stock market even though that could mean monster payoffs for the 25-person staff and funding to expand dramatically its games. While "Minecraft" PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PS Vita version developer 4J Studios are hard at work with the Vita version of the building game, a new skin pack is expected to debut during the first week of October.

Detailed over the Play XBLA complete with screenshots, the "Doctor Who" skin pack for "Minecraft" will be released for the Xbox 360 Edition. Fans of both the time travelling Doctor and "Minecraft" can get the best of both worlds. As seen in the screenshots, some of the skins include six versions of the Doctor and is companions like Clara and Amy.

Even the latest Doctor in the series, played by Peter Capaldi, will be making an appearance in the skin pack. Of course, there will also be enemies coming with the "Doctor Who" skin pack, like the Daleks and the Weeping Angels.

According to Game Informer, the skin pack is just the first batch, with more expected to follow. This "Doctor Who" will be available out on Oct. 3 at $2.99.

These announcements were made after 4J Studios has also announced another "Minecraft PS3" update, this time targeted for Europe, North America and Japan. Over at its official Twitter page, the new update will feature the Skin Pack 3, the Cartoon Texture Pack and the Fantasy Texture Pack trials. Sadly, there's still no word on what is currently happening with the "Minecraft PS Vita Edition" except for the fact that it's already with Sony for final testing.

On the subject of "Minecraft," there's also another creation, this time fan-made, that shows off the anticipated "Halo 5 Guardians" via a trailer. Gamingbolt has spotted the new trailer, which was created by YouTuber Spawn Solo.

Obviously, the entire trailer is not all "Minecraft"--just look at Master Chief's cloak at the start of the trailer--but it's still something to behold, animation-wise. What's really creative about the "Halo 5 Guardians" Minecraft trailer is that it makes use of elements that are signature in the game, such as Ender Dragon. Check out the trailer and see "Halo 5 Guardians" in a different (rather blocky) light.
