“Minecraft” fans can check out the latest Snapshot 15w36c, which features the newest update for the PC version. There are a few new changes with this set of snapshots, the latest of which is a fix for crashes.

There are some changes that fans can expect, such as rebalancing of armour as well as the changes in the damage and protection attachments that are in line with the aforementioned armour fixes. In addition, some minor changes include bugs fixes for AI mobs, optimisations, more options for collisions, adjustment creepiness in endermen and a possible less corruption instances for worlds.

As per usual, the update will already be available for testing. But it is advised that players ensure that they have backups or create a different folder for main worlds when applying the build. There is still the possibility that worlds can become corrupted by the snapshots, so backups are a must. Mojang has detailed the steps on obtaining the newest build via its official website.

Apart from the new snapshot builds for the “Minecraft” PC edition, there is also an update for those using the Mac to play. According to TheNextWeb, Mojang has announced that there will be a new native launcher coming to the OS X. The new launcher will no longer require Java.

“Following on from our previous efforts to make installing ‘Minecraft’ on Windows really simple (no Java required, just our own installer), we’ve now created a very similar application for OS X,” said Mojang as quoted by TheNextWeb. The only catch for “Minecraft” Mac players is that the device will need to be running on at least the Mac OS X Lion (10.7) or newer for it to work.

Additionally auto-updating is also in the works for “Minecraft,” so Mojang has advised that the game may download up to 55MB in 24 hours. Specifics are yet to be detailed as the developer is still working on any issues that players may encounter.
