But not all of those who have an opinion on Miley's rendition of Robin Thicke's Blurred Lines are slamming the 20-year-old for the oversexed routine. Some people come forward to defend her.

Timberlake said during an interview on Fresh 102.7:

'It's the VMAs, what did you guys expect? I like Miley, I like her a lot,' he told Fresh 102.7 in a radio interview on Tuesday.

'She's young; she's letting everyone know she's grown up. It's the VMAs. It's not like she did it at the Grammys.'

'My favourite part of the Miley Cyrus performance is the Smith family reaction,' Justin said, referring to a still of Will, Jada, Jaden and Willow looking shocked as they took in the events. While the image went viral on internet, MTV confirmed it was in fact taken of the well-known family when they were actually watching Lady Gaga's performance performance at MTV's Video Music Awards.

'I was late to the game on that. I was just shown that this morning, so it's fresh in my mind,' Justin, 32, added.

Billy Ray Cyrus had a talk with "Entertainment Tonight" host Nancy O'Dell about Miley's VMAs performance:

"Of course I'll always be here for Miley. Can't wait [to] see her when she gets home. She's still my little girl and I'm still her dad regardless how this circus we call show business plays out. I love her unconditionally and that will never change."

The Parents Television Council marked the MTV's Sunday night broadcast, as selling sex to teens.

"MTV has once again succeeded in marketing sexually charged messages to young children using former child stars and condom commercials -- while falsely rating this program as appropriate for kids as young as 14. This is unacceptable".

"MTV continues to sexually exploit young women by promoting acts that incorporate 'twerking' in a nude-colored bikini. How is this image of former child star Miley Cyrus appropriate for 14-year-olds?" PTC director of public policy Dan Isett said in a statement.

Believe it or not Cyrus' father serves on the PTC's advisory board. We think this controversial performance at MTV's Video Music Awards 2013 will go a long way.
