Celebrity couple, Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus make a great pair as they stepped out together during the premieres of Robert Luketic ‘Paranoia’ in Los Angeles, Thursday, August 8.

This is the engaged couple’s first official public appearance for months and the move has shot two birds in one stone . Taking Miley as his date could be Liam’s plans to silence critics who have continously doubted his relationship with the controversial singer. And two, it shows Miley is indeed very much supportive of her man in his every project.

To see Miley and Liam together must have allowed the couple’s devoted followers to heave a sigh of relief, knowing that their idols are still very much together and their love is stronger than ever.

It will be recalled that Miley has been posting cryptic messages on her Twitter account, making allusions of how her music comes on top of her priorities, thereby “affecting her personal relationship.”

At some point early this year, the two were rumoured to have called it quits once again when Liam took a break and went home to Australia in February 2013. Only to be debunked when he went straight back to Miley after his Asian promotional tours for The Hunger Games in April 2013. Their romance was again reported rocky, even their wedding allegedly put on hold, when Miley posted a photo on Twitter without her engagement ring, followed by another photo of her in a rock-chic bridal-inspired gown.

All these should be all put behind them as the couple made their first formal public appearance at the premieres of Paranoia in Los Angeles California and the couple apparently, is very much happy together.

A look at the various photos that emerged online, showed that Miley certainly turned head and was a picture of a supportive and hot girlfriend, rolled into one, She also cuts a breath of fresh air as she came out more covered up at the premieres than her usual ensemble in recent months.

The Last Song singer and actress stunned in red and black leather dress, she teamed up with sky-high white heels and white formal, shoulder bag.

What was more revealing in their first public appearance together was how Miley never attempted to steal the show from her man. While Liam was fulfilling his promotional duties on the red carpet, Miley was seen stepping aside and simply stood by his side.

There were of course, attempts from reporters to get Miley talking about her “twerking” but she was quick to quip, “not tonight,” followed by laughters for every single one of them.

She did oblige to pose solo and with Liam for the shutterbugs lined up at the DGA Theater Thursday evening. But that was all there was to it. The “We Can’t Stop” singer had given way for his man on his big night.

In the corporate-spionage thriller, Liam plays a newbie employee at a giant techie company, hired to spy on their rivals.

When asked by reporters how Paranoia can help boost his credibility as an actor, Liam was quick to point out that he “picks every film for various reasons.”

He explained, “And every film I grow as an actor and, I think, as a person, especially when you work with these kinds of actors. It was nice to see how much they still cared about film. You know they love making movies and that's what I love to do."

Liam joins powerhouse casts in Paranoia, including Harrison Ford, Amber Heard, and Gary Oldman. Paranoia hits theaters on August 16, 2013.
