The Middleton family business has been operating for years since 1987 and its service has just recently been described as "disappointing." A customer tweeted her displeasure after her request of party supplies was not delivered.

A friend of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge recently made known her disappointment at Party Pieces, the business run by Kate Middleton's parents, Carole and Michael Middleton. According to Mail Online Marina Fogle, wife of TV adventurer Ben Fogle, had ordered some party decorations for their son Ludo's 5th birthday. However, her items didn't arrive in time for the said celebration on Dec 10. In her frustration, the mother took to her Twitter account on Dec 11 to vent out her anger.

On the same day Party Pieces managed to make a quick public apology in response to her tweet. However, Hello magazine claimed Marina hadn't tweeted a reply to the company's promise of gift as an apology. But based on the picture on her Twitter account it seemed that Ludo's birthday carried on without the party decorations. The mother shared a photo of her son blowing out his birthday candles while she looks on happily. The photo was captioned "5th Birthday."

Marina Fogle reportedly already has connections with Prince William and Kate Middleton. The Duke of Cambridge supposedly briefly dated her sister, Olivia Hunt, during their first year at St. Andrews. She and her husband were even invited to the royal wedding in 2011 and were among the 300 close friends who were guests at the Buckingham Palace party. According to Mail Online the Fogles even consider Kate and William as one of their closest friends. However, their relations with the royal couple had apparently not worked with the Middleton's family business.

Mail Online had reached out to Party Pieces for comments and have yet to receive the company's reply. However, aside from the mishap in the delivery, Ben Fogler only has nice words to say about how "comfortable" he feels when around Prince William.

"There are many things we have in common ... Marina's family know William. It's how I got to know him and I've seen how loyal everyone is around him," he said.

Likewise, Marina Fogle still has connections with Party Pieces. According to Mail Online, her planning and catering firm called Kasimira, which she founded with a friend, is still recommended by the Middleton's company on their Web site.

Really disappointing service from @PartyPieces failed to deliver for Ludo's party, didn't tell me and can 'only apologise'. Not good enough.
