It seems that HTC is all set to further add on a new handset to its Desire range of smartphones. The speculated HTC Desire 828w has appeared at the TENAA certification center in China.

The images from TENNA suggest a possible redesign of the HTC Desire 828w, says Android Authority. Leaked images reveal rounder edges and dual speaker/microphone grills. The dimensions of smartphone are 157.7mm x 78.89mm x 7.9mm and weighs 150g. In terms of hardware specifications the device appears to be similar to that of the HTC Desire 828 launched in 2014.

According to the TENAA listing, the HTC Desire 828w will feature a 5.5-inch Full HD display with 1,920 x 1,080 resolution. The smartphone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor clocked at 1.5GHz and packed with 2GB of RAM, similar to the Desire 826 model. The handset will sport a 16GB expandable internal memory up to 128GB via microSD card.

The device will feature a 1 3MP rear camera along with a 4MP ultra-pixel front-snapper on the front for selfies and video chats. Android 5.1.1 will be pre-installed with HTC Sense 6.0 UI running on top. The 828w supports 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity. The phone will be available in several color options including white, black, red, orange, deep blue, gray and gold, stated Phone Arena.

Till date there is no official announcement from HTC about the variation of their HTC Desire 828. The TENNA cortication further strengthens the speculation that HTC is indeed ready to add on the mid-range line of smartphones to compete with more popular brands like Xiaomi, Lenovo, and Huawei in China. HTC is yet to reveal the price.
