Microsoft is celebrating the "countdown to 2015" via an Xbox store sale and is offering top discounts on titles from Dec. 16 to Dec. 31. To top it off, the company is also offering discounts on great games and add-ons all throughout this week, from Dec. 16 to Dec. 22. Notably, the Xbox store reminds potential buyers to check back on the deals every day.

Meanwhile, Microsoft is also gearing up to gift its devoted "Xbox One preview members" a Christmas gift on Dec. 19, by giving early access to none-other-than Halo 5. It is worth noting that, as per the official announcement, 343 industries and Microsoft will launch the Halo 5 multiplayer beta version only on Dec. 29. But then, the Xbox One preview members are lucky enough to get access to Halo 5, ten days prior to the official release. The caveat, however, is that the early access is invite-only. Plus, every current Xbox One preview member will reportedly receive a message from Xbox Live with two codes to get access to the free download, reports The Verge.

Notably, Halo 5 multiplayer beta version's early access will reportedly become active at 4 p.m. ET on Dec. 19 and it ends at 3 a.m. ET on Dec. 22. This early access will allow Xbox One preview members to get used to the brand new weapons, maps and Spartan abilities, earlier than others. Furthermore, this upcoming version consists of a new Smart Scope option, which gives the player a scope on every weapon. In addition, the Ground Pound ability will also be given to the player, which is similar in many ways to Destiny's First of Havoc slam. In specific, players can use this ability in order to descend down from the air and onslaught enemies, concludes The Verge.
