Microsoft is going to launch its all-new Azure App Service anytime. According to a new report, this is a new cloud-based service that works by giving developers a single run-time that they can use in building mobile and web apps, as well as APIs.

With this new platform, developers can now build a backend service without needing any additional environments. Cross-platform apps can now be created without having to transfer from one system to another, according to The Next Web.

Although it is a newly offered service, not all of its tools that are used for automating certain business processes are new. Tech Crunch has reported that Microsoft built the Azure App Service over pre-existing tools, such as Azure Mobile Services, Biztalk Services, and Azure Websites.

Even though the mega tech company has decided to transfer all of the existing Azure Websites users to the new package, there is absolutely nothing for the users to worry about since no price changes will be implemented.

“Businesses are constantly looking for better ways to engage with their customers,” partner director of Microsoft program management, Omar Khan, said. “They are using apps to engage both customers and employees in a better way."

According to Khan, “Developers want more simplicity.” The company might think that the cloud has a key role in that department, but Khan insists that developers actually have a hard time whenever they have to target more than one platform.

Azure Mobile Services will also be making the complete transition soon, but at a slower pace. According to the report, migrating Azure Mobile Services quickly might disrupt some pre-existing API services, even if it will be very easy for the developers to apply the changes.

“We believe that unifying this experience makes app development much simpler,” Khan added.

Microsoft’s new Azure App Service will be available starting today. However, some of its new features might still be in its preview format.
