Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella announced the launch of Lumia 950 and 950 XL in India during his visit to the country last month, and there’ll be a product launch event on Nov 30, confirms Windows Central.

Indian fans can soon expect the new Lumia smartphones at stores, but it’s still not certain if both models will be unveiled together. The event will also see the launch of a Display Dock that lets you connect your phone to a PC and turn the screen into a full-fledged Windows computer, reports Tech Firstpost.

Both phones surprise with new features and looks. The Lumia 950 is packed with features such as a 5.2-inch display quality enhanced by AMOLED technology and 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution boosted by 565 ppi pixel density.

On the other hand, the Lumia 950 XL sports a larger 5.7-inch display screen with IPS technology. The display’s got a resolution of 2,560 x 1, 440 pixels at 518 ppi pixel density, states the Times of India.

Record has it the two handsets are the first to run on Microsoft’s Windows 10 operating system. The Lumia 950 will be powered by hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 while the Lumia 950 XL’s performance will be defined by a 64-bit-octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810.

Camera features are the same in both, with a 20MP rear snapper and a 5MP front-facing camera supported by triple LED flash with a fifth generation OIS.

The Lumia 950 XL has more powerful battery with 3,340mAH and the Lumia 950 with 3000mAH. You won’t be disappointed given its flurry of connectivity options for both handsets that include Bluetooth v4.1, Wi Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, USB-type and NFC.

Sleek and smart looking, the handsets are something to look out for with the holiday season knocking at our doors.
