Problems Known with Surface Pro 3

Unfortunately, users have discovered two major issues on Surface PRO 3 and currently known to have been caused by software services. Excessive loud fan noise and constant overheating are bothering users based on complaints at Microsoft.

1. Fan spins and causes a loud noise to dissipate heat.

2. Overheats even with light tasks running.

3. White noise sometimes noticeable on the right speaker.

4. Device temperature can cause uncomfortable use.

A user posted on Microsoft forums revealed the temporary fix on the overheating crisis. It also revealed the culprit causing the unusual increase in the temperature that can be fixed by Microsoft via software update.

1. Launch the Task Manager then close the Windows Installer Module and Windows Installer Module Worker.

2. Terminate the two services if the fan activity and heat problems occur when using YouTube, games or Windows Update.
