Windows 10 OS, the most ambitious product of Microsoft, slated to release this summer may be the last version and the company will not issue the traditional Windows 11 or Windows 12, thereafter. The beans are spilled by the official claims by Jerry Nixon, in the MS Ignite Conference in Chicago.

The Verge reports, “Right now we (Microsoft) are releasing Windows 10, and because Windows 10 is the last version of Windows, we are all still working on Windows 10.” Further, the spokesperson of Microsoft added in channel9.msdn, “Recent comments at Ignite about Windows 10 are reflective of the way Windows will be delivered as a service bringing new innovations and updates in an ongoing manner, with continuous value for our consumer and business customers.” Since Microsoft works on future branding for Windows, the consumers can confide on Windows 10 and MS will issue updates for it, irrespective of devices ranging from PCs to Smartphones to HoloLens to SurfaceHub to Xbox. Therefore, the innovative Windows have a long future, with assorted updates.

The future of Windows will be availed as a service. To make it happen, Microsoft has cracked the OS components into the Start Menu and apps. With the separated independent parts, updating is easier and the Windows core OS can be updated step-by-step, similar to Google’s Chrome browser. Although, it is a huge task, assigning plenty of honey bee engineers to work on separating the OS, makes it possible.

In the mean time, the Microsoft official page announces that Windows 10 has been designed and developed in a unique way, in par with the feedbacks of millions of customers. The Windows 7 and 8 version customers will have free the 10 updates.

No free pirated version of Windows 10

Unlike the Reuter’s report, the pirates will not be allowed to legally install the new Windows 10 upgrade rather it will be considered as stolen version, as it has been earlier and Microsoft does not allow any amnesty to the OS pirates. Microsoft statement notes that even though the illegal PC upgrade may be possible, the upgraded version does not get the genuine license for Windows 10.
