Microsoft is back in news with a new variant of the model RM-1062. Apparently, this variant has been spotted at the FCC. If reports are true, the handset will be called the Microsoft Lumia 1335.

The upcoming Lumia 1335 will reportedly be a single-SIM variant of the Lumia 1330. According to the FCC document, this handset will support LTE-Advanced network at 2,500 MHz frequency ambit, in addition to the standard network connectivity options. Furthermore, this would reportedly be a downlink-only band in a carrier aggregation model, says Phone Arena. Therefore, the Lumia 1335 would be the first Windows Phone to support this faster connectivity option.

Apparently, Sprint is the sole carrier in the U.S. that supports 2.5 GHz frequency. However, other listed frequency bands suggest that the Microsoft Lumia 1335 would not support Sprint's legacy 3G/EV-DO network. Therefore, there is a good chance that the upcoming device could be aimed at non-U.S. markets, opines the same site. Nonetheless, GSM Arena says the Lumia 1330 will be introduced in spring 2015. But then, the exact release date and pricing is unknown at this point.

When it comes to key specifications, the Lumia 1335 will reportedly be a replica of the Lumia 1330. Therefore, the upcoming handset will feature a 5.7-inch OLED display, complemented by 720 x 1,280 pixels screen resolution. This combination translates to a pixel density of 258 ppi. Under the hood, the device will be powered by a quad-core (Qualcomm Snapdragon 400) processor and Adreno 305 will take care of the graphics department. Moreover, the handset will be backed by either of 512 MB or 1 GB of RAM configuration. And as one would expect, the handset will run on Microsoft Windows Phone 8.1 OS.

As far as the memory goes, the Lumia 1335 will reportedly come equipped with 16 GB and 32 GB of internal storage capacities. With respect to the camera configuration, a 14 MP camera unit with PureView technology, Zeiss optics and LED flash will reportedly adorn the back of the handset. In addition, there will also be a wide-angle 5 MP front-facing shooter unit for selfies.
