Miley Cyrus has passionate fans and followers. Her fans are ready to walk an extra mile just to prove that they are better fans of Twerk Queen. People from all age groups are paying their tribute to her infamous antics via YouTube and Vine videos.

Fans are not afraid to use props, and in this case we are talking about an actual wrecking ball!

Grand Valley Statue University in Allendale, Michigan, has a pendulum statue with a 42-inch steel ball hanging with the help of a 50-foot cable. To our utter surprise, the pendulum statue has a Twitter account with 678 followers and counting... 710 followers, now. Students of the University used the wrecking ball to cover the famous song "Wrecking Ball's" music video.

According to a report by Total Frat Move, "After several naked Vines imitating Miley Cyrus, Grand Valley State University has taken down the pendulum structure better known as the GV Wrecking Ball, a campus landmark that had been up for years."

It looks like that the students were riding the ball, even before Cyrus made the "Wrecking Ball" music video. It "established a tradition for incoming freshmen (the majority of GV students have ridden the ball at least once)," TFM reported.

It was only after the video came, the students decided to ride the ball, naked!

The University has reported said, "No 'Wrecking Ball' for ANYONE." The ball is no more.

GVSU Wrecking Ball's heartfelt tweet got tears in our eyes. My co-worker buddy wept like a child and did a wrecking ball on his chair, and ultimately fell on the ground.

Tim Thimmesh, Grand Valley head of facilities told local Fox 17 that the ball was only removed for safety reasons and before the statue is reinstalled it will be checked for the "integrity of the installation."

Grand Valley students are not ready to give up the fight as they start holding peace marches and gatherings around the site of Pendulum Statue.

Tweets from @GVSUWreckingBal

"GV made national news over our "Wrecking Ball" #WeAreGV #reinstalltheball," Kendall Wilterdink tweeted.

"Wow GVSU actually made national news! This is your shining moment @GVSUWreckingBal #reinstalltheball," Kelly Snyder tweeted

"I officially love my school. #GoGV @GVSUWreckingBal #YouWillBeMissed #MadeNationalNews #Epic," Brittany Marie tweeted.

Many are blaming Miley Cyrus and asking her to organize a free concert in the University campus.

‪"@MileyCyrus should come to Grand Valley to do a free concert for indirectly taking our ‪@GVSUWreckingBal away," one GVSU student demanded. "‪#apologize ‪#or ‪#concert."

We are eagerly waiting for any comment from Miley Cyrus on this "Wrecking Ball" episode. Until then enjoy the videos and photos. Check out the slideshow showcasing the "wrecking" moments. All images courtesy - Vine and Twitter.
