The son of seven-time Formula One, or F1, champion Michael Schumacher, Mick, has reportedly crashed while test driving a Formula 4 car at a speed of 100mph. Fortunately, the 15-year-old walked away unscathed from the crash.

According to a report by German news outlet Die Welt, the accident took place on the first day of testing at the Lausitzring track in Brandenburg in East Germany. The report said that Mick couldn’t control his car, which spun out of the speedway. Mick and his car ended up on a gravel part of the road.

“The accident was mild,” Die Welt wrote. “Mick Schumacher was unhurt; his race car had to be towed into the box.”

Recently, Mick has signed with Van Amersfoort Racing for the upcoming ADAC FIA Formula 4 series. Mick visited the Van Amersfoort’s headquarters in the Netherlands to test its simulator last November. Frits van Amersfoort, team manager of the Dutch racing team, is reportedly thrilled to have Mick and Harrison as part of the team. “We're extremely honoured to have some of auto racing's most creditable persons choosing to entrust our team in the development of two promising young talents,” van Amersfoort was quoted saying in a report by Auto Sport.
