Even after nine months of its disappearance, Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 is missing and has become one of the greatest mysteries of aviation industry. According to an author of the book on MH370 tragedy, the missing Boeing 777 is lost forever.

Author Nigel Cawthorne suggests that MH370 "will never be found" as "there's no sensible theory" according to Express UK. Nigel Cawthorne happens to be the author of the book titled "Flight MH370: The Mystery." However, the author agrees that the missing Malaysia Airlines flight's wreckage is most probably located in the southern Indian Ocean.

Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 went missing on March 8, 2014 with 239 people on board of 15 different nationalities. The Beijing- bound plane lost its contact with radar within few minutes after its take off from Kuala Lumpur. Immediately after the news broke out, multinational search efforts were employed. However, no traces or related debris have been found. On March 24, 2014, based on satellite date, the Malaysian government announced that the plane ended in southern Indian Ocean.

Speaking to abovementioned daily news publication, Nigel Cawthorne revealed his thoughts about the MH370 tragedy. "No one knows where on Earth it is and you can't search the whole world" Nigel Cawthorne told the publication. "The most likely theory is that it is down there in the southern Indian Ocean. And if it is there I'm almost certain it will never be found," the author adds.

Speaking about the hostile conditions in the part of the world where the plane's wreckage might be located, the author explained why the jet cannot be found. "The current there is the worst in the world, the weather there is the worst in the world and the sea floor there is less well-known than the surface of the Moon," the author added.

Meanwhile, several other theories claiming to explain the disappearance of missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 have emerged. Most recently, a theory claiming it's a cover up by U.S. emerged and made headlines. Marc Dugain, the former chief executive of Proteus Airlines, speculated that the plane was "shot down near a U.S. military based on the remote island of Diego Garcia" located in Indian Ocean according to Daily Mail. It is reported he told Paris Match that inhabitants of an island in the Maldives near Diego Garcia informed him that they witnessed the plane "flying low." Later, however, Pentagon spokesman Rear Adm. John Kirby questioned Marc Dugain's speculations and called the claim "too ridiculous to deserve a serious response," according Military.com.

In other news, another plane went missing on Dec 28, 2014. The AirAsia flight QZ8501 was travelling to Singapore from Indonesia with 162 people onboard. The plane faced some bad weather conditions before losing contact with air traffic control and disappearing. Currently, search and rescue operations are trying to locate the missing aircraft.
