The much-anticipated trailer for the tactical espionage video game “Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain” will debut at the upcoming GamesCom 2015. The five-day event starts on Wednesday and will be held in its partner country in the United Kingdom.

Based on the details revealed on Konami Europe ’s official website, the trailer for “Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain” will be released at 8 p.m. CET (Central European Time). It will also be shown throughout the five-day duration of the GamesCom 2015 event. The trailer will later be posted on the dedicated “Metal Gear Solid” YouTube channel .

A press statement concerning the release of the footage was also sent to Gamepur . Details shared in the press release confirm the trailer will highlight a “larger overview of the full game and its many gameplay advances and character.” Gamepur adds the preview will also showcase the “strategic heart of the game.”

Konami Europe also announced the release of the gameplay footage on its official Twitter page. To promote the upcoming preview, developers shared a screenshot taken from the trailer showing the iconic character “Big Boss.”

On its website, Konami Europe says the trailer will provide a detailed gameplay walk-through on the use of the special customisation elements and building options found in the game.

“The video will also explain the game’s multi-player FOB (Forward Operating Base) feature, wherein users can establish additional bases around the globe to manage captured resources – and demonstrate for the first time – how users can infiltrate other players’ FOB bases to steal resources as well.”

Konami also promises to introduce a new host of characters in “Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.” These characters, both allies and enemies, will build the game’s story along with the series’ main protagonist Big Boss, as he faces new battlefields following the deaths of his colleagues.

Developers also promised an enhanced and more realistic gaming experience with “Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.” Konami Europe on its website says the day/night cycles and weather patterns are more realistic, making it easier for players to have their characters adapt to the changing environment. These changes in the game’s visual graphics reportedly produce a non-linear and intuitive gaming experience.
