Konami has revealed a couple of new screenshots, giving players a glimpse of what lies in store for “Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.” The new screenshots, showcased at Gamescom 2015, showed Snake engaged in combat, Pressa2join reported.

Other shots also showed several locations for the game including an Oil Rig and a Jungle. Aside from the screenshots, the developer also confirmed that the PC release date for “Metal Gear V: Phantom Pain” will be moved up to Sept. 1 instead of January next year.

Konami also recently released the system requirements for "Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain," as reported by PCGamer. Not surprisingly enough, the system requirement is very similar to the one needed to run "Metal Gear: Ground Zeroes."

The game requires the PC to run on Windows 7 or higher, it will also need a 64-bit OS. As for RAM, the game requires a minimum of 4GB but the recommended RAM is 8GB. Graphics-wise, the game can run with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 (2GB) or better (DirectX 11 card Required). But for better and smoother graphics, KONAMI recommends NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 (DirectX 11 graphic card required). Also, PC gamers need to clean up some hard drive space as the game will take a massive 28GB.

The story of Phantom Pain takes place exactly nine years after the events of Ground Zeroes. The game begins in 1984 as Snake wakes up from a nine year-long coma that was induced by the destruction of Mother Base in the prequel. This time, the game will have players take on a shadow group, XOF, which is believed to be responsible for the destruction of Mother Base.

“Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain” releases worldwide for the PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PCs at Sept. 1 this year.
