The next episode of “The Messengers” is set to bring all the angels together and one of them is an atheist. The executive producers shared some insight about what the viewers will get to see in the next episode of the series. [Spoiler alert]

Executive producer Trey Callaway and co-executive producer Eoghan O’Donnell appeared in a video to discuss the next episode of “The Messengers.” Trey Callaway said that the episode title “Strange Magic” is an “apt title” because the main plot of the episode is about the “magical forces of destiny” that will bring all the angels together to fight the devil.

The previous episode of the show introduced all the major characters and explored how they got their supernatural powers. The episode also showed the devil coming down to earth in a meteor and taking steps to influence one of the angels.

The next episode of “The Messengers” will focus on a vision that Joshua has in the first meeting of all the major characters. The meeting will also include the character Rose Arvale, who has just woken up from years of coma.

Eoghan O’Donnell explained that Rose Arvale will be able to provide a lot of answers about why the angels have been brought together, what their mission is and she will also reveal their destiny. The scientist, Vera Buckley, is an atheist and may have some difficulty accepting her new role as an angel tasked with stopping the apocalypse.

The main focus in “The Messengers” episode 2 will be on a soldier who has lost one of his arms in combat. The actor who plays the role of the soldier in the next episode apparently lost his arm in very similar circumstances as the character he is playing. Trey Callaway called his performance in the next episode as “unforgettable.”

The video shows how the devil will approach the soldier in the next episode. Vera Buckley was also tempted in the previous episode with the prospect of meeting her long lost son. Each angel comes from a set of difficult personal circumstances that they have to overcome in the future episodes of “The Messengers.”
