Meryl Streep has played everyone from Margaret Thatcher in “The Iron Lady” to Julia Child in “Julie & Julia.” She now wants Amy Schumer, the 35 years old stand-up comedian, writer, actress and producer, to portray her in a biopic.

“Amy Schumer, of course,” Streep answered to Huffington Post when asked who should portray her in biopic.

When the interviewer heard Meryl’s reply, he responded with, “Ah that’s a good one, actually. I can see that happening,” to which Streep said, “Yeah. Me,too.”

When a Twitter follower informed Schumer about Meryl’s comment, she had only two words: “Holy s—t.”

Schumer appeared to be impressed and speechless. After all, Meryl is no less than a legend. She has been nominated for an Academy Award 19 times, the most nominations an actor has ever received. She won three times, for "Kramer vs Kramer," "Sophie's Choice" and "The Iron Lady."

In her latest movie, "Florence Foster Jenkins," she plays a nominal New York heiress who became an opera singer known for her aching lack of singing skill. The film was released on Aug. 12 in the US.

On the other hand, Amy seems to master everything she tries, whether it’s stand-up, TV(“Inside Amy Schumer”) or movies(“Trainwreck”). Her recently released memoir, “The Girl With the Lower Back Tattoo,” has already landed at No. 4. She received a multimillion-dollar advance for the book and she is the latest female comedian to do well on USA TODAY’s list.

The book’s publicity comprised of an interview with USA TODAY’s Andrea Mandell, who reported the book as “a funny, highly revealing collection of memories, relationship rehashes and career experiences.”
