Mercedes and McLaren will kick off the 2015 season with new colour schemes according to latest news. Two of the top teams in Formula One decided to change their colours to sport a new look for the upcoming season.

Mercedes is set to comeback this year with a striking mirror-like chrome paint-job, which is a colour switch from the usual silver shade Mercedes has, according to Spain's El Mundo Deportivo. The chrome paint-job of Mercedes has been reported to be called "Kromo," and will also be used by wheel supplier OZ for the WO6, which will be raced by world champions Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg.

As Mercedes finally decided on taking its colour this season to another level-from its iconic silver to the new "Kromo", McLarens is also coming back this year with a new one following its new collaboration and tie-up with Honda. El Mundo Deportivo reported that Honda do not like the idea that McLaren will be pushing its last year's colour considering that its association with Mercedes is already over. Using the iconic silver colour will not give McLaren the independent identity it needs in order to stand out.

It has been further reported that McLaren might be coming back with either orange or the white colour. Orange, because it is McLaren's traditional colour and white, because Honda's colour is white.

Just recently, McLaren-Honda and Ferrari has been reported to launch their 2015 cars online one week before the first pre-season test. On January 29, MP4-30 will be unveiled 24 hour before the release of Ferrari's first images of its new car.

Although McLaren confirmed that its new car will be named MP4-30, Ferrari has yet to name its successor to the F14 T. Ferrari admitted earlier that it braced for another tough season after it started late with its 2015 car and it recently appointed the former world champions Kimi Raikkonen and Sebastian Vettel as their driver line-up for 2015.
