Melissa Rivers, talk show host and comedienne, Joan Rivers's daughter had decided to file a multimillion-dollar medical malpractice and wrongful death lawsuit against Yorkville Endoscopy clinic.

Despite not requesting for an autopsy on her mother's death, Melissa Rivers wants the Yorkville Endoscopy clinic to be held responsible for the death of her mother. Page Six just reported that Melissa already selected a powerhouse Manhattan law firm to assist her in charging the clinic where the legendary comedian lapsed into a coma during a throat procedure and died a week after. Doctors involved in the said fatal procedure would be named.

The Manhattan law firm that Melissa chose is the Gair, Gair, Conason, Steigman, Mackauf, Bloom & Rubinowitz. The firm is said to be expressly selective in the cases they handle. The boutique firm was established in 1919 and is one of the oldest ones in the city. It has earned a reputation from being meticulous.

"In order to fully determine the facts and circumstances surrounding the death of Joan Rivers, we confirm that our firm has been engaged by Melissa Rivers and her family," Ben Rubinowitz, managing partner at Gair, Gair, Conason, told Us Weekly.

According to Robert Vilensky, a medical malpractice lawyer not involved in the upcoming Rivers litigation, Gail can be expected to charge the clinic and all the doctors who were involved in the treatment Joan was undergoing with not properly monitoring her Propofol, a sedative given before the surgery. Interestingly, it is the same drug that Michael Jackson had an overdose of.

That said, the lawyer firm still to get hold of the E! talk show host's medical records before a case can be field in Manhattan Supreme Court. The suit also need to be filed to court and an executor appointed by a judge before anything could start. New York Daily News reported that Melissa could file as soon as October

Vilensky described Gair's firm to Page Six. It seems that Yorkville needs to be ready because the firm is being described as being "low key" and yet, also "very, very meticulous and very, very smart."

More than a month since the legendary figure's death, her co-stars and other Entertainment people are still grieving. Many remembers the little quirks that Joan had, and the many sweet moments they shared with her.
