Melbourne Fringe Festival 2015, currently one of Australia’s biggest multi-artform festivals, provides thousands of artists across Melbourne and regional Victoria the necessary tools in creating and promoting their work. In the official Melbourne Fringe Festival website, the independent arts festival’s artist development program shows support to artists and the participants at the major event.

Listed below are the free events interested participants can check out at the 2015 Melbourne Fringe Festival:

1. Docklands Blues Music Festival. The free event on Sunday, Oct. 4, will feature an incredible lineup of Australia’s most accomplished blues musicians, including Chicago classic blues guitar slinger Chris Cain, singer-songwriter Lloyd Spiegel and modern sound blues band Dream Boogie. It will be held at Wonderland Spiegeltent 120 Pearl River Rd Docklands VIC 3008 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

2. FilmNeverDie Polaroid Resurrection Exhibition. FilmNeverDie organises and services approximately 2,000 Polaroid and film shooters in Australia. The special event with a PG rating or age suitability will be showcasing a set of 40 Polaroid artworks that 30 photography enthusiasts created at the FilmNeverDie Café, Magnet Galleries Melbourne Studio 3, Level 2, 640 Bourke St Melbourne VIC 3000 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

3. Fringe Furniture: Between the Lines. The longest-running event in the annual Melbourne Fringe Festival invites everyone to have a closer look at the designs, uncover the meanings behind the creations and understand the messages disguised in the work of some of the most innovative emerging and established designers. The event will be held at the Abbotsford Convent - Oratory and Ironing Rooms, 1 St Heliers St Abbotsford VIC 3067 at 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Friday until Sunday.

4. Awards Night and Closing Party. The annual festival will end with a party that celebrates the winners of the Melbourne Fringe Awards. The attendees can dance the night away on Saturday starting at 10 p.m. at the Fringe Club - Arts House, North Melbourne Town Hall, 521 Queensberry St North Melbourne VIC 3051.
