Melania Trump has recited the Lord’s Prayer during US President Donald Trump‘s campaign-style rally in Florida. The first lady of the United States also opened the event on Saturday with a message for the crowd, saying her husband is “creating a country of great safety and prosperity.”

The 46-year-old first lady kicked off the event with the words “let us pray,” and then recited the Lord’s Prayer. “Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven,” she recited.

The FLOTUS assured the crowd that her husband is creating a country of great safety and prosperity. Melania, on the other hand, said she is going to create and support initiatives that are close to her heart. These ideas will be focused on women and children all around the world.

Furthermore, she told attendees of Trump‘s campaign rally that she will always stay true to herself and be truthful to the American people. The FLOTUS vowed to be true no matter what the opposition say about her. “I will act in the best interest of all of you,” she said.

“The America we envision is one that works for all Americans, and where all Americans can work and succeed. “A nation committed to a greater civility and unity between people from all sides of the political divide,” she said.

After her wife’s message, Trump said she did not know that the first lady will read the Lord’s Prayer. Though he was surprised, he described the FLOTUS’ act as a lovely gesture and he thanked his wife for it before going on to talk about topics related to the media, terrorism, and his controversial travel ban along others.

The president said during the Make America Great Again Rally that the press have an agenda of their own. He also cited former presidents of the US who were against the media such as Abraham Lincoln and Andrew Jackson.

As for issues on terrorism, Trump promised to keep the Islamic terrorists out of the United States. He also vowed anew to build a border wall along the US- Mexico border and promised to do something over the next couple of days regarding his executive order on immigration. Instead of bringing in refugees, the president said he would rather build safe zones in Syria. Trump’s travel ban has been blocked in courts earlier this month.
