Melania Trump and her 10-year-old son with US President Donald Trump, Barron, are moving to the White House in June. They will reportedly become full-time residents of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave after the school year as the first family had already picked a new school for Barron.

White House adviser Stephanie Winston Wolkoff confirmed that the first lady and her son are moving to Washington. "Mrs. Trump will be moving to DC and settling in to the White House at the end of the school year, splitting her time between New York and DC in the meantime," she said in a statement.

Wolkoff assured that Melania is honoured to serve America and is taking her role as first lady very seriously. The White House adviser praised the FLOTUS for going about her role in a “pragmatic and thoughtful way that is unique and authentic to her” in a short time since the inauguration.

Since Trump seated as the president of the free world, Melania and Barron continued to live at Trump Tower for the latter to finish the school year at his private school in New York. But as early as June, all three of them will live in the same roof again, TMZ reports.

On Friday, the Trumps headed to Florida for the weekend, in which Melania’s parents, Viktor and Amalija Knavs, made their first public appearance in dark clothes and sunglasses. The FLOTUS sported a red coat by Alice Roi, Jimmy Choo heels and Gucci sunglasses as she was escorted by her husband and son to the plane on the White House lawn. They reportedly flew on Air Force One, the President's private plane.

The Knavs live in the US, but head home to Slovenia once every year. Melania’s parents spent the weekend at her husband’s own exclusive resort. Meanwhile, the president played golf prior to a dinner with Marvel CEO, Isaac Perlmutter according to Nine.com.au.

The first lady has been involved in some White House events, such as hosting her first luncheon in the State Dining Room during the celebration of International Women's Day and participating in the black-tie dinner for the nation’s governors. She had watched her husband sign legislation and executive orders and accompanied him to the Capitol for a speech to Congress. Next month, she is expected to make another appearance at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave for the annual East Egg Roll on the South Lawn, which is scheduled on April 17.
