Today Pushbullet is receiving its biggest update ever combining full-fledged messaging and file sharing.

The Pushbullet team has made a host of improvements to the app on all platforms, adding more functionality. This would ensure a more refined and streamlined user interface.

Both Android and iOS versions are getting a simple UI categorizing messages with the source. Instead of a single long list, the messages now will be classified by where they came from, i.e. from Friends, Me or Following. Just a tap on the contact will pull the entire thread of messages and files shared from both ends. Additionally a standalone messaging window will also be available for the users.

The main screen now features Friends, Me and Following tabs on top. Under Friends, all the messages, images, links, and videos sent to and from your friends will be displayed. The Me tab will store all the pushes that were sent to and from all your own devices. And finally the Following tab will contain a list of the Channels that you are following.

The official website of Pushbullet has also received few UI improvements making it more receptive. The navigation has become easier, drag and drop option for sending files has been enabled.

Outside the mobile apps, on desktop, the Chrome, Firefox, Opera and Safari extensions of Pushbullet will allow you to view history, shared links and chat history with friends and even pop-out windows for conversation. The Pushbullet team confirmed another great addition to the service. All the apps would now inform the user if any message is not sent properly. On Windows desktop application there will lots of bug fixes and drag and drop support for files.

The big update is now live in the Google Play Store.
