"Fifty Shades of Grey" movie producers have yet to cast central characters Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele. Matt Bomer, a consistent leader in online 'Grey' polls, tickled the fans' imagination even more when he showed up Tuesday on the NBC sitcom "The New Normal."

Series co-creator Ali Adler started the hashtag "BomersAbs" on Twitter hours ahead of the episode to draw more viewers in the hilarious sitcom. 'Normal' is about "a blended family of a gay couple," starring Bryan Collins (Andrew Rannells) and David Murray (Justin Bartha).

"Wowzer..Matt Bomer's not just a beautiful face," tweets @AnnieGE2.

User Chie Lagumen joins the #BomersAbs thread, too, tweeting, "Time re-watch @NBCTheNewNormal. I will never get enough of this ep. #mattbomer."

Adler makes good use of the social media, posting a photo of Bomer's abs on Instagram, too. She links the image to Twitter, saying, "Please watch #newnormal tonight. Bomer's abs are like crack."

A few months ago, Bomer has been eliminated for the Christian Grey role by "American Psycho" writer Bret Ellis. Bravely contradicting Bomer's fans on Twitter, Ellis tweeted, "Matt Bomer isn't right for Christian Grey because he is openly gay." Five months later, Bomer's photos continue to flood social network streams with "Fifty Shades" references.

Bomer's role in the sexy flick "Magic Mike" was too limited in the theater release. And fans who got to see his deleted scene still wanted to see more. It comes as no surprise that fans are raving about his abs on "The New Normal."

Bomer is typically suited up on USA's "White Collar," where he stars as the dashing con-man, Neal Caffrey. But once in a while, he shows off his abs in his series, too. Case in point: his coming out of the swimming pool scene in the fourth season premiere. Incidentally, White Collar will be back with fresh episodes on Jan. 22.

Bomer's 'Normal' guesting couldn't have happened at a better time. "Big Mike" is already old news, and Marcel is (presumably) about to finish the Fifty Shades movie script. Producers will soon cast their Christian Grey choice.

"I just finished watching #BomersAbs. Made me anxious for WC," tweets Debbie Martinsen.

Meanwhile, Fifty Shades screenwriter Kelly Marcel has recently told reporters she intends to finish a script that would get an NC-17 rating (No Children 17 and Under Admitted). "It will be raunchy," Marcel told The Sunday Times.
