BioWare’s “Mass Effect: Andromeda” will be released on PC, PS4 and Xbox One in spring 2017. However, the developer is giving Nintendo Switch a miss. Late last year, EA announced that one of the publisher’s big games will be released on Nintendo Switch. Everybody thought it would be “Mass Effect: Andromeda,” though that’s not the case. Recently, it was also revealed that Switch’s battery would be non-replaceable. Thus, Switch fans have a lot to be disappointed.

“Yeah, not right now, no. We’re not planning on it. If the Switch launches and everyone’s just yammering for Mass Effect, who knows. We never want to close doors like that,” BioWare’s Michael Gamble told Stevivor when asked whether “Mass Effect: Andromeda” would be released on Nintendo Switch.

While a “Mass Effect: Andromeda” Nintendo Switch release does not seem likely, at least there is a chance that it will release some time in the future. But for Xbox Scorpio, Gamble directly said that the company had absolutely no plans currently. “You never know what’ll happen after that,” Gamble said. He also did not specify exactly what improvements will be made to the PS4 Pro version of the title.

BioWare will discuss PS4 Pro enhancements for “Mass Effect: Andromeda” in January or February. The game might be enhanced for Project Scorpio as well. Thus, Nintendo Switch fans are all eagerly waiting for Jan. 12 to arrive when Nintendo will discuss details about its console, its price, specifications and launch line-up.

What’s bothering fans the most is that “Mass Effect 3” was released on Wii U. Hence, Nintendo Switch fans were almost sure about the Switch release. They were expecting to play the spacefaring adventure on the enhanced console, writes GameSpot. Stay tuned on IBT AU for more updates on “Mass Effect: Andromeda” Nintendo Switch release.
