Netflix has renewed “Marvel’s Luke Cage” for another season. Marvel took to Twitter on Monday to announce the second season of the show, which premiered in September to positive reviews.

The video show a signage on Pop’s Barber Shop, which reads “Season 2 coming soon.” A simple announcement as such has effectively roused excited fans.

There is no word what “Luke Cage” season 2 would focus on or when it would begin streaming on Netflix. The first season of the show (SPOILER ALERT) has ended with the title character returning to jail. His friend could prove his innocence, though, and so his freedom might not be an issue in the next season anymore.

As Nerdist has noted, season 2 might see the unlikely friendship between Luke and Danny Rand, Iron Fist’s alter ego, develop. Luke’s half-brother, Diamondback, may also pose problem for the hero. In season 1, Noah Burstein, who gave Luke his super powers, was seen getting ready to experiment on Diamondback as well.

“Luke Cage,” starring Mike Colter as the titular character, is about a former convict with superhuman strength and who now fights crime. It is the third series, after “Daredevil” and “Jessica Jones,” that has been renewed for another season on Netflix’s Marvel lineup. It airs on Netflix Australia.
