The LMD arc has officially ended in a fascinating and disturbingly odd and emotional event on "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." This arc truly put viewers in a conundrum as the issue had something to do with the team itself. Some might even consider this their version of “Terminator.” The previous episode, titled “Self Control,” showed the perfect mix of action and horror as it delivered something viewers never thought the show was capable of.

A big part of that involved Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) and Daisy Johnson (Chloe Bennet) having to take on an army of agents. However, as expected, viewers did not get the full story on who had been replaced by an LMD in its final minutes.

Spoiler alert! This article contains “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” spoilers. Read on if you would like to know what happens before the next episode airs.

The show has been thrown into a major curveball for the final pod which sent the team into a Matrix-like framework. This came with simultaneous multiple realities that could also serve as a “what if” story for Hydra. However, fans would have to wait for the show’s return in April for answers to some of the biggest questions.

One of the more prominent fan theories is one where fans connect with Leo Fitz (Iain de Caestecker) and Holden Radcliffe (John Hannah). Their uncanny link and their mysterious backgrounds have led fans to believe that Radcliffe could be Fitz’s father. With this, many were expecting a father and son reveal in the next episodes. However, this will not be the case. The big boss of “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” has stepped up to debunk rumours. To be clear, the two are not related to each other.

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, showrunner Joss Whedon revealed that Fitz and Radcliffe are both Scottish and that this issue had already been discussed at length. He also says that there is no one better to be his dad than John Hannah, but Radcliffe is not his father.

This only means that Hannah will be seen on the show once again, considering Radcliffe’s ascension to the Framework. However, it remains to be seen if Fitz’s alternate reality will circle back in to reveal who his mysterious father really is.

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” will return April 4 on ABC in the US with the episode titled “What If.” In Australia, it will air on SyFy.
