“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Season 3 is expected to present more scenes that feature both Luke Mitchell and Chloe Bennet. Luke’s Lincoln Campbell has already proven he can be trusted, while Chloe’s Skye a.k.a. Daisy Johnson needs someone who understands her abilities.

Spoiler alert: This update contains “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” spoilers. Read on at your own risk if you are not caught up.

Lincoln’s help was essential for SHIELD in the final moments of the second season finale. He and Skye have already established a sense of friendship, which tells fans they would see more of Lincoln and Skye in the future.

It came as no surprise that Luke Mitchell got promoted to series regular earlier in the month. It is good news for fans of the defunct “The Tomorrow People” and the actor himself. Since Daisy Johnson will be in-charge of inhumans and the like, the next story arcs are likely to come out as storylines from TTP.

Now that Hydra heads have been extinguished and Daisy Johnson’s roots have been explored, fans would see more about inhumans as aliens and paranormal creatures are called in the show. Jemma Simmons’ Elizabeth Henstridge could become essentially inhuman after being swallowed by a shapeshifting creature in the final moments of “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Season 2.

Jiaying (Dichen Lachman) dies in the hands of her husband and Daisy Johnson’s father, Calvin Zabo (Kyle MacLachlan) in the second season finale. Some fans are hoping Cal could stick around because MacLachlan gave the character such a powerful texture and appeal. However, with his memory wiped out, it is more likely that Cal will not be a part of “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Season 3.

“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Season 3 is expected to premiere around September of October on ABC. Fans are eager to see what happens next to Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) and his team.
