“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” is only two weeks away from its mid-season premiere. Season 2 of ABC’s Marvel TV show will return with Season 2 Episode 11 “Aftershocks” on Tuesday, March 3, 2015. Spoilers swirling around and recently released synopsis by the network promise new villains, intriguing storyline, more action and new challenges. Fans are eager to know what’s next for Phil Coulson and his team of crime-fighting agents. Here are few spoilers for the upcoming episode of “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Season 2. In the last-aired episode, fans saw that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. have successfully reached alien/ temple city. Here, Phil Coulson killed Whitehall and Skye discovered her new superpowers. Agents’ quest and Whitehall’s murder also led to the rise of a new villain, Cal.

ABC has released a synopsis for “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Season 2 Episode 11 “Aftershocks” on its official website. According to the report, Phil Coulson has new scourges to deal with. “But new threats to the world have arisen, including Skye’s father, Cal (Kyle McLachlan), who now seeks retribution against Coulson for stealing his revenge against Whitehall,” the report reads.

Fans can also expect to see an unlikely team up of Grant Ward and Agent 33. Meanwhile, Raina will continue to struggle to become an Inhuman with the help of the alien obelisk. But she will be disappointed and “seek vengeance.”

As for Skye, her newly attained superpowers will put the lives of her loved ones in danger. It seems she has some struggle to undergo, before she masters her superhuman abilities.

The show will further dig deeper into Bobbi and Mack’s secret agenda. However, their plan is going to have a serious impact on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Hunter will be seen making “the biggest choice of his life” when the show returns.

As per the press release, Episode 11 will majorly focus on the aftermath of agents’ war with Hydra that is planning its next move with the help of a traitor in S.H.I.E.L.D. Meanwhile, some “shocking” secrets threaten the unity of Phil Coulson’s team.

In a related news, “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” has recruited a new villain. According to Variety, Emmy Award winning actress Drea de Matteo has joined the cast as Karla Faye Gideon in a guest role. Her character reportedly is a “gifted woman with a grudge to bear against S.H.I.E.L.D. who joins forces with Skye’s father, Cal (Kyle MacLachlan).” For those unfamiliar, de Matteo is known for her work in the television shows “Sopranos” and “Sons of Anarchy.”

“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” stars Clark Gregg, Ming Na-Wen, Brett Dalton, Chloe Bennet, Ian De Caestecker, Elizabeth Henstridge, Nick Blood and more. Season 2 Episode 11 is written by Maurissa Tancharoen & Jed Whedon and directed by Billy Gierhart. “Aftershocks” will air March 3, 2015 at 9:00 pm on ABC.
