"Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Season 2 is getting closer to its winter finale, with only two episodes left before it goes into a brief hiatus. The show is set to air an explosive episode 9. However, the network will not be airing a new episode this week, on Nov. 25. The show will return after a week's break on Dec. 2 and will see the team of crime-fighting superheroes move forward in their greatest mission yet. Here are a few spoilers on the upcoming segment of "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." [Warning: Spoilers Alert!]

As the show gets closer to its mid-season finale, things continue to get intense. The last aired episode opened with a flashback that took back viewers to the year 1945 in Austria. Meanwhile, Phil Coulson and his team made a big discovery and found out that Whitehall is more than 100 years old. With the help of clues dropped by Bakshi and a study of old SSR files, another flashback revealed that Whitehall is actually Reinhardt.

In 1989, Reinhardt was released from prison and he went to find the woman he met in 1945 who could survive the effects of the Obelisk. The woman's body stopped ageing and was the same as it was in 1945. Whitehall took away the woman's organs to stop his body's ageing process. This is why Whitehall looked so young at the age of 100. That woman apparently was Skye's mother and Whitehall was her killer. The doctor is Skye's father who vowed to avenge the loss of his love's life.

Elsewhere, Grant Ward confronted his elder brother Senator Christian and tortured him. Later, he went for Whitehall to collaborate with him. Meanwhile, the agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. were able to locate the city and figure out that the Obelisk or the Diviner is the key to open the secrets hidden there.

Moving on to the next episode, the network has released a synopsis on "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Season 2 Episode 9" title "...Ye Who Enter Here." "According to the report, the agents reach the city before their enemies. HYDRA is left behind and Phil Coulson and his team seem to be getting closer to accomplishing their mission.

However, they are yet to face their toughest challenge and that requires one of the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents to make the "ultimate sacrifice." In order to unveil the ancient secret, the team must do as required.

To add to their problems, Whitehall is chasing Raina. May and Skye attempt to reach her before their enemy does. The network has released a promo video (published on YouTube.com by Television Promos) that gives a glimpse of Episode 9 and teases an action-packed episode. Before the agents get to Raina, they must fight the new enemy with the face exactly like that of agent May.

The upcoming segment was written by Paul Zbyszweski and directed by Billy Geirhart. "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." stars Clark Gregg as Phil Coulson, Brett Dalton as Grant Ward, Chloe Bennett as Skye, Ming-Na Wen as Melinda May, Elizabeth Henstridge as Jemma Simmons and more. Season 2 Episode 9 "...Ye Who Enter Here" airs Dec. 2, 2014 at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
