This coming third episode of the fourth season of “Agents of SHIELD,” May’s life is in peril. Can Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) and Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) be able to save her in time?

Spoiler alert! This article contains “Agents of SHIELD” spoilers. Read on if you would like to know what happens next before the next episode airs.

Melinda May (Ming Na Wen) had been infected by some sort of supernatural disease that appears to get worse by each episode. In Episode 3, May’s reasoning capacities had already appeared impaired and appears to go be committed to killing anyone who crosses her path, including Phil Coulson and SHIELD’s new director.

This made her end up all tied up in a straightjacket as a result. While her condition remains unstable, she is unable to harm anyone. The new director’s identity is not revealed yet but he apparently has something in store for everyone.

This is bad news for SHIELD, especially for those who recently joined who see May as their leader and guide. If this appears bad enough, there is even more to follow in the upcoming episode that comes with an onslaught of inhuman activists. This group of activists will take it out on the streets to protests against the Sokovia Accords, who requires that all inhumans be registered and be under the direct control of the government. The comic books say that this led to the fall of The Avengers.

A mysterious substance infects May and causes her to go crazy. As she is a potential cause of harm, they lace her up in a straightjacket, but she has to be kept alive if they want to save her.

Spoilers also reveal that Holden Radcliffe (John Hannah) will have to hide his latest project Aida (Mallory Jansen). The Life Model Decoy was first introduced in the premiere and Leo Fitz (Lain De Caestecker) decided that they could not let Simmons Know.

The new director has still been keeping Coulson with no idea about how May is doing, so he will be taking on a new mission. It appears that the vigilantes will be taking advantage of a power outage to reach their ends.

The third episode of “Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD” will air on October 11 at 10 p.m. on ABC. It also airs on Channel 7 in Australia.
