Martina Hingis has revealed that she thought Roger Federer how to win games, which resulted to a masterful tennis career that includes 17 Grand Slam wins.

“I tell him [Federer] I was the one who taught him how to win titles,” Hingis said, reports the India Times. “Before that he played a few finals but didn't win anything.”

Hingis, also a Swiss professional tennis player, spent a total of 209 weeks as world No. 1 in the WTA rankings. The Swiss Miss has won five Grand Slam titles in singles category and 11 in playing doubles. She also set the record for the youngest ever Grand Slam champ and World No. 1 prior to ligament injuries in both ankles, which forced her Hingis to withdraw temporarily from pro tennis in 2002.

Federer has one of the best tennis careers in the sport’s history and fans may witness the Swiss Maestro’s greatness for a while after confirming that he intends to play two more years. The Swiss international is looking forward to playing at the Olympic games in Rio, but he admitted it is not his focus for the next season.

"It's not my No. 1 priority. It starts with the Australian Open, which is just around the corner," Federer said, reports NDTV Sports. "That's what I see next. Then once Australia's over, that's when I look more towards the future."

Federer, who is coming off a defeat at the ATP World Tour Finals against world No. 1 Novak Djokovic, will start his 2016 season at the Brisbane International, where he will be joined by Japan’s Kei Nishikori, former US champion Marin Cilic, David Goffin, and Bernard Tomic. His last action for this year will be in Asia’s International Premier League, which kicks off next month in Japan, Manila, Dubai, New Delhi, and Singapore.
