Several brides in Los Angeles were surprised when the “Animals” hitmaker Maroon 5 crashed their wedding. As featured in the band’s new music video for their “Sugar,” Adam Levine, Jesse Carmichael, Mickey Madden and Ryan Dusick crashed real-life weddings in LA.

Two days after it was published on Jan. 14, Wednesday on YouTube, the “Sugar” music video reached more than 7.6 million times. At the start of the five-minute video, Frontman Levine says, “December 6, 2014, we’re going to drive across L.A. and hit every wedding we possibly can, and it’s going to be awesome!”

Helmed by “Wedding Crashers” director David Dobkin, the music video shows LA brides and grooms screaming and cheering after Maroon 5 sneaks into the weddings behind a white curtain. The wedding guests are also seen leaping up to dance next to Maroon 5 after the cloth is dropped to reveal the pop rock band.

A rep for Maroon 5 told ET that only the grooms actually knew beforehand that the band would crash the weddings. On the other hand, the rep said they all wanted to surprise the brides but were not sure whether the grooms disclosed it to their mate.

“Goodnight guys, thank you so much, this was the coolest thing ever!” Levine says at the end of the video. He also married Victoria’s Secret model Behati Prinsloo in Mexico in July 2014.
