Manny Pacquiao proves that he is truly devoted to God. For the eight-division world champion, building a church may present a lot of work but it is definitely a task worth doing. He is reportedly building a two-storey church in General Santos City, Philippines.

Local news reporter for TV Patrol Socksargen Jay Dayupay shared snaps of Pacquiao's church on Twitter on November 12. The church will be called "The Word for Everyone Movement Inc." It have a Bible sanctuary, a tennis court, and picnic grounds. Its target completion is by December 2015.

In November 2013, Pacquiao revealed to Joaquin Henson of Philippine Star that he was planning to build a temple in his two-hectare property in General Santos City. It was reported then that the name of his temple will be "The World for Everyone Movement Fellowship Center." Pacquiao wanted to build a facility that can house 1,000 to 2,000 people.

Pacquiao's Newfound Faith

Pacquiao left the Catholic Church and shifted to Evangelical Christianity. His newfound faith has changed his life in many ways.

It has been reported that Pacquiao became religious when he started reading the Bible. Since then, he has learned how to live in accordance with the Bible's teachings. He was once quoted before saying that he used to pray a lot even before he switched faith but he was still doing unlawful things such as drinking, committing adultery, gambling, and even sexual immorality. The Bible has taught him to follow the commandments and how he can achieve an eternal life.

In a recent interview with The Guardian, Pacquiao said that he was happy with his newfound faith. "I found the right way, salvation, born again," Pacquiao said. "Christ said unless we are born again, we cannot enter the kingdom of God, so it's very important to me."

Pacquiao will defend his World Boxing Organization welterweight title against Chris Algieri on November 22 in Macau. It will be Pacquiao's first fight after winning in the rematch against Timothy Bradley. Pacquiao is confident that he has the ability to win the match and give Algieri his first ever defeat.
