In Mayweather’s last fight, boxing legends Oscar De La Hoya, Manny Pacquiao and other boxing legends took to social media to criticise Floyd Mayweather Jr. for yet another boring and unimpressive performance in what is pegged to be the final fight of his undefeated career.

De La Hoya, who was a former Olympic gold medalist and a world welterweight champion, threw some shade at Mayweather via Twitter.

De La Hoya went on to retweet some of the fans’ post with similar criticism of the Mayweather fight on Saturday. The undefeated American protected his immaculate record and improved to 49-0 for his career beating unheralded Andre Berto via a 12-round unanimous decision victory, 118-110, 117-111 and 120-108.

Meanwhile, Pacquiao, who got beat by Mayweather Jr. in another boring fight last May, took to Instagram to show what he does when he’s “bored”—another apparent shot at the undefeated American.

Other boxing enthusiasts also took to social media to share their thoughts on Mayweather’s final fight.

“If you thought Mayweather-Pacquiao was boring, Mayweather-Berto taking it to another level,” Yahoo Sports columnist Dan Wetzel tweeted. “And when I mean boring, I mean there's a guy in the front row talking on the phone.”

“Floyd Mayweather had a fight tonight? I'm not even sure they're worth the money. #Boring,” Boyce Watkins, an American author and political analyst, added.
