Just a few days after Floyd Mayweather Jr. has finally broken his silence on the clamour for a Manny Pacquiao super fight, the Filipino boxer has a fresh take on things, mainly the fight purse, which is one of the potential hold-ups to the blockbuster match. According to the eight-division world champion, money is not an issue as substantiated by his previous challenge to Mayweather to a charity match.

In Mayweather's interview with Showtime during the weekend, the pound-for-pound king reiterated that Pacman is not on his level given the recent losses to American Timothy Bradley and Mexican Juan Manuel Marquez. He seemed to suggest that a 50-50 split would not compensate his inking a deal given how much the challenger is beneath him. Apparently, Pacquiao is more than willing to accommodate his rival on the money front.

"Mayweather can get the amount he wants. As early as January this year, I challenged him to a charity fight. Until now, he has not agreed to it. So, money is not the issue in our fight," Pacquiao said on his official website.

The number three ranked pound-for-pound boxer did not stop there and went about how he would give his fans the fight that they want, only if does not spend the whole bout chasing Mayweather Jr. around the ring. The current WBO welterweight champion stated that his foe has nowhere to run and has no other options but to take the fight. The 35-year old fighter is fresh off his impressive victory over American Chris Algieri in Macua, China where he placed the opponent on the canvass six times during the whole match on the way to a unanimous decision victory.

"Money" Mayweather has been unimpressed with the Filipino congressman and basketball head coach as he pointed out that Pacman has lost in dominating fashion to Marquez when he was knocked out in the waning seconds of the sixth round during their last bout. The American undefeated fighter has circled the May 2, Cinco de Mayo date as the possible super fight and has hinted at other demands such as his previous request of Olympic style drug testing and the fight being carried exclusively by Showtime.
