To say Manny Pacquiao is versatile is an understatement. The eight-division world boxing champion is a local movie star, a recording artist, a pastor, a congressman, a basketball coach and player, and now he might be set to become an international film star.

Movie legends Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger were one of the well-wishers of Pacquiao before his match against American boxer Chris Algieri in Macau. The action stars visited the locker room of Pacman before his bout not just to send him off on good vibes but also to ask him to join the latest instalment of the throwback action series "Expendables 4." According to Spin.ph, Stallone and Lionsgate have targeted adding Pacquiao to the roster since 2009, and it is only now that there is a distinct possibility of adding the Filipino boxer.

The former pound for pound king has some experience in film and television acting as he has appeared in nine local productions since 2000 and countless televisions stints centred on hosting. Terry Crews, one of the actors who appeared in all three instalments, was once posed the question of Pacman's addition during a media tour promoting "Expendables 3," and he said, "Expendables 3, [with] Manny Pacquiao, you said it right now!" According to Your Health magazine, even Jean Claude Van Damme who acted as the villain in the sequel approved the prospect of enlisting the flashy boxer relaying, "that would be wonderful."

While the latest version of the "Expendables" franchise did not fare well in the United States, grossing just a little over $40 million, the international receipts pulled the film into north of bankability with a whopping $165 million haul. Some stars such as Jackie Chan, Pierce Brosnan, Hulk Hogan and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson have already expressed their interest to join the ensemble cast. Hogan has confirmed his participation via Twitter while Johnson was quoted a while back as having mutual interest to join the franchise.

The former WWE talent has said that he is not interested to fight alongside Schwarzenegger and Stallone but rather to be the villain that will hunt the rag-tag crew. "I don't want to be on their team and be buddies with them. I want to hunt every single one of them down and tell them to 'send your soul to heaven cause your ass is mine,' Johnson revealed during a recent interview.
