Some Manchester United players allegedly made a sex tape in club toilets and then passed the video to team-mates according to a report from The Sun.

The newspaper’s claim is that the Red Devils club has already decided to investigate the alleged incident where a woman had sex in a cubicle with the unnamed Manchester United player and that some of his team-mates, using camera phones, took videos of the said sexual act.

"I have been crying my eyes out and I am not going to go into the details about it now,” The woman reportedly said according to The Sun article.

U.K. Member of the Parliament and Chairman of the Culture, Media and Sport Select Committee John Whittingdale also shared his take on the matter.

“Premier League players like Manchester United’s are watched by millions of people, and they do have a duty,” Whittingdale said in the same article. “They are role models for vast numbers of young people and one would hope they’d set a good example. They need to act responsibly.”

The said report did not specifically name any player although it emphasised that the said footage was shared among the Manchester United teammates.

On the field, Manchester United was saved by a late Daley Blind equaliser to force the 1-1 draw against West Ham on Sunday evening in their latest English Premier League match. The draw meant that Manchester United remains in fourth place in the standings. Manchester United has 44 points after 24 matches and trailing Chelsea with 56 points, Manchester City with 49 points and Southampton with 45 points.

With this new controversy plus their on-field struggles, it remains to be seen how the Red Devils will react to the news. Manchester United faces Burnley at Old Trafford on Wednesday, Feb. 11 before taking on Swansea at Liberty Stadium on Saturday, Feb. 21. They return home on Feb. 28 against Sunderland.

The Manchester United club or its officials have yet to comment on the said sex tape and incident.
