A hapless man died after a vibrator got stuck inside his body and he was too embarrassed to see a doctor.

According to the report by Daily Mail, Nigel Willis, 50, could not take out the vibrator and spent five days lying on the sofa under extreme painful condition.

Because of a friend’s constant pressure, he went to the University Hospital Lewisham.

He was suffering from septic shock. Doctors removed the sex toy but he succumbed to death two month after the surgery.

Southwark Coroner's Court heard he was admitted to intensive care on New Year’s Eve 2013.

As explained by Daily Mail, Dr Adebowale Adesina, a consultant from the hospital, told the hearing, “The history was that his friend called an ambulance because he complained of dizziness and weakness.

It was found that he had a ‘foreign body’ in his anus following which he went through emergency surgery.

Doctor Bernd Rose, a consultant with the intensive care unit, said “Mr. Willis was a 50-year-old gentleman with a history of diabetes.”

“He was admitted to the ITU on December 31, he had a very prolonged ITU stay,’ he was quoted saying.

Mr. Willis’s condition was found to be deteriorated and he became less responsive and finally he passed away on February 7 this year.

Assistant Coroner to inner-south London Sarah Ormand-Walshe explained “This is a sad case of a man who died at 50 years of age. He appears to have had a foreign object which has become stuck in the lower part of his bowel and had been there for a number of days when he was encouraged to go to the hospital by his friends on 30 December 2013.”

It was believed that he died because of abdomen injury and the coroner ruled that Mr. Willis breathed his last as a result of an accident.
