The "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie casting rumors will definitely not die down after author E.L. James' interview with TV host Katie Couric.

What the author could only reveal is that she has three actors in mind that would be perfect for the dark character of Christian Grey and four actresses for the role of the reluctant sex slave Anastasia Steele. Is "Magic Mike" actor Matt Bomer one of the three actors that E.L. James had in mind?

In her very first major television interview, E.L. James sat with Katie Couric on the set of her new ABC talk show and the two of them discussed the reception and success of her erotic novels as well as the speculations over who will be cast to portray the main characters of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele in the much anticipated movie adaptation of "Fifty Shades of Grey."

The "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie is still on the early stages of production with only producers Danna Brunetti and Michael De Luca of "The Social Network" on board. The film director, screenwriter and most of the cast and crew remain vacant.

Even though E.L. James remained tight-lipped about revealing any celebrity names, the author was able to limitedly reveal that she has three favorite actors for Christian Grey. Katie Couric even showed a poll in the social networking site "Facebook" where fans of the book are voting among a list of five candidates: Ryan Gosling, Ian Somerhalder, Matt Bomer, Alexander Skarsgard and Henry Cavill. So far, it appears that it is a tight competition between Matt Bomer and Ian Somerhalder.

Fans of the "White Collar" star Matt Bomer may have made the right decision as they root for the 34-year old actor to be cast as the billionaire magnate and BDSM practitioner Christian Grey. After "American Psycho" author Bret Easton-Ellis dismissed his remarks that casting Matt Bomer would not be a good idea in portraying the male lead character because he is gay, the actor then became a top contender in bagging one of the most coveted roles in the film industry.
