Madonna is back as the face of Versace. This marked the fourth time she landed this role. Her stunning pictures for the Versace Fashion Campaign SS15 caught the attention of the public as these have not been digitally retouched.

Donatella Versace, vice president of the Versace brand, expressed her delight in working with Madonna. She told Della Sera, an Italian newspaper, that the queen of pop had decided to donate her modeling fee to charity.

The fee is going to the paediatric surgery and intensive care unit of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Malawi's capital. Versace decided to work with Madonna because the singer opted to not have her arms and abdomen digitally retouched. Though she is a mother of four, Madonna has kept her body in shape by adhering to her exercise regimen under trainer Tracy Anderson. The images were taken by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.

Compared with their previous model, Lady Gaga, Versace stated that Madonna was easier to work with. "I did believe that there were only the set and the filters and the rest. Then, she did everything in the studio in New York," she shared.

Other stars, such as Beyonce and Dame Helen Mirren, have gone without photo retouching for the H&M swimwear ads and L'Oreal ad, respectively. However, Madonna's beauty was praised due to her age and the condition of her body.

This campaign aims to change people's perception of reality. Donatello Versace wanted the photos to look as natural as possible. Versace said that she wanted the pictures to reflect Madonna herself -- the woman who is real and sexy, as well as someone who has her fears and is afraid, but remains strong. She wanted to feature a vulnerable person who is fearless and strong regardless of her fears and loneliness.
