Madonna's fans have lashed out on the singer for her insensitive remarks related to "rape" and "terrorism." The Queen of Pop drew flak on social media when she compared the act of her album leak to "terrorism." The singer's comments were deemed "insensitive" by many on social media as they were posted in the same week when the horrific hostage killings took place in Sydney and many chidlren lost their lives to terrorism in Pakistan.

"This is artistic rape!! These are early leaked demo's half of which wont even make it on my album the other half have changed and evolved," Madonna wrote in an Instagram post that's since been deleted. "This is a form of terrorism. Wtf!!!! Why do people want to destroy artistic process??? Why steal? Why not give me the opportunity to finish and give you my very best?" added the singer, according to Daily Mail.

The "Like A Virgin" singer faced criticism on Twitter for her comments as many people believed that Madonna over reacted to her song leaks and should have just called the issue as "theft." People also made fun of the singer saying that it is not the 80s when fans used to love Madonna's songs. Most people are not even bothered which track or album the singer is releasing as she is not that popular now, said some of the people on Twitter. Read out few tweets below.

Dear Madonna, No one cares if your music got leaked. I didn't even know you were releasing an album. Rape & terrorism aren't metaphors.

Really @Madonna leaking your album is like terrorism, this isn't 1987 you're not that relevant now — privilged one (@Privileged91) December 18, 2014

After the backlash received on Twitter, Madonna took to Instagram once again, but her tone was gentle this time. She thanked her fans for "not listening" to the leaked songs and their loyalty. "Thank you for waiting and if you have heard please know they are unfinished demos stolen long ago and not ready to be presented to the world," she added.

According to The Guardian, Madonna's unreleased, leaked album is expected to be titled "Iconic" and its opening song would be "Unapologetic B-tch" that features Nicki Minaj. Other song titles include "Messiah," "Revolution" and "Bitch I'm Madonna," says the website adding that the singer has roped in artists like Diplo, Avicii, Natalia Kills and Ryan Tedder for the production and songwriting.
