Luke Bryan has been close friends with Blake Shelton for years; however, the singer revealed that he’s yet to hang out with Shelton and Gwen Stefani.

Bryan told Entertainment Tonight during the CMT Artists of the Year Awards on Wednesday that Shelton has yet to introduce him to Stefani. When asked whether the “Used to Love You” singer will be joining Shelton for the CMT event, Bryan responded that he doesn’t know, before adding, “He won’t tell me.”

He also joked that Shelton doesn’t want him to meet Stefani. Bryan told Entertainment Tonight, “He doesn't want me to hug her or anything. He doesn't want me to meet her.”

Bryan also teased that despite him not having the chance to meet Stefani yet, he’s already looking to having the No Doubt singer meet someone in his life. “My stepmother is an optometrist,” he joked. “And I'm trying to get Gwen an appointment with her.”

He also shared that the only way he can talk with his friend when “The Voice” coach is in his Los Angeles home is through Facetime. “We Facetime quite a bit. His house in L.A. has no service,” he explained. “So you have to Facetime him to talk.”

The two country music stars were some of the artists honoured during Wednesday’s CMT Artist of the Year Awards. In Shelton’s acceptance speech, he revealed how he’s been “jealous over the last few years” since it was the first time that he received a CMT award, E News reports. Apart from thanking his team and label, he also shared how 2015 has been a “crazy year” for him.

“I want to say that this has been a crazy year, from the way it started to how it's ending so awesome for me,” he said. “So thank y'all. This is a great way to end it for me. Thank you so much."
