The writers teased in a tweet that the major focus of the plot of the premiere episode will be Morningstar’s mother Charlotte (Tricia Helfer). In an interview with Comic Book Resources, Helfer said that she is “very excited” to be joining “Lucifer” Season 2 and that she is excited about her character.

The actress said that the fans may be expecting “a certain thing” from her character, but they will be “surprised.” She teased that Morningstar has concerns about his mother coming to Earth to seek revenge. However, the actress revealed that there are many layers to her character on the show.

Helfer said that the viewers will quickly realise what her character is all about as soon as she is introduced. However, with subsequent episodes the viewers will realise that there is more to the character.

The title of the second episode of “Lucifer” Season 2 is “Liar, Liar, Slu—y Dress on Fire.” The script was written by Ildy Modrovich and will be directed by Louis Milito, the writers revealed in a tweet.
